Scott & Paul | Big Fish Movie Styled Engagement Session | Bohemia Overlook

Blog, Engagement Session

Once in a blue moon you meet a couple that everything clicks within an instant. I met Paul and Scott at a Gramercy Mansion Open House as I was running by then and literally just said to them, “You guys are SO cute!” I kept running by and the we briefly chatted and that would have been the end of it, so I thought. Luckily for me, these two wonderful humans reached out about me photographing their big day. I was so elated that I did a little happy dance in my kitchen because I immediately  remembered these two. I mean how could you not!

When it came time to chat engagement session, I had a feeling these two would be the couple I finally unleash an idea I have had for over five years now. You see, if you don’t know me, I am obsessed with any and all things Tim Burton. One of my favorite movies of all time is “Big Fish.” I highly recommend it if you haven’t seen it.

We started with your typical engagement session which you will see at the top, which is adorable and so full of love. Then, as you will see, we slowly transformed this into a vision my brain has had for sometime.

Luckily, with the help of an unstoppable force of a team, it was everything I dreamed and MORE!

So I just want to give a big thank you. Thank you to everyone who helped me with this and THANK YOU to Scoot & Paul for allowing me to partially take over your engagement session with this idea. I truly adore you guys and cannot wait for your big day this fall!

Jill
