This couple right here holds a very special place in my heart. I met Dan at his brothers wedding back in 2015. He’s one of those people that just stick with you. You won’t ever forget him when you meet him. He’s funny, charismatic and doesn’t seem to take life too seriously, my kind of person. So when he reached out to ask if I was available for his wedding day to his stunning soon-to-be-bride Katie, I was SO excited because I knew I got to hang out with two amazing people all day. Not to mention their families. I have luckily had time to get to know their families from photographing Dan’s brothers wedding.
Fast forward to the big day. The pair had a super personal Mount Airy Mansion wedding and let me tell you, that place is straight out of a story book. They pulled off the travel theme so well. Each centerpiece was a different location, guests had to find their park on the seating chart, and globes and suitcases topped off their unique decor.
Everything was perfect. From the ceremony to the reception. There are so many special moments that still bring a smile to my face when I go back through these images. Like Dan’s Mom crying all the happy tears during his and Katie’s first dance, all the crazy dancing including some shirts coming off and one of my favorite nighttime shots of 2018.
I couldn’t adore these two more if I tried. I hope this wedding brings a big old smile to your face 🙂
