Assembly Room Wedding | Zach & Danielle

This, my friends, was one of my favorite wedding days and 2019 is just beginning. There’s a certain ease that comes with photographing a couple that you truly feel connected to. Danielle and Zach are just the best people. Always smiling and the love between them is one for the story books. These two have been together since college (that’s 10 years!) and their history together really shows.

It took one conversation with Danielle to realize she has a certain sort of something about her and after spending the first hour with her friends and family, I know why. These are the people you just don’t want to say good bye to at the end of the night. Her closest girlfriends laughed over memories and her mom and sister (Matron of Honor) were shedding happy tears off and on all day, particularly while they helped her into her dress. And THAT dress. It’s like it was made for only Danielle to wear. Stunner!

Before an epic first look with her soon to be hubby, Danielle shared a first look with her dad and brother. And I may have been shedding a few happy tears of my own when her dad looked at his daughter, in all her bridal beauty, for the very first time. Such a sweet, sweet moment to have the honor of capturing.

If you’re familiar with my work, you know I love that golden hour lighting. I mean, who doesn’t? And trust me when I say that I know how to find it! Having a venue in the middle of Baltimore city can make it a little more challenging, since there aren’t exactly wide open spaces. I knew we were getting a little tight on time, and lots of tall buildings surrounding us were going to make that sun light hard to chase but I had already scoped out the perfect location earlier in the day.  I love when my couples trust me. When I asked Danielle and Zach if they wanted to try for it, a simple “absolutely” was their reply. And, along with my team, we all took off running on foot to the spot I found. There was literally a 10-foot strip of light left when we got to the top of that parking garage and boy was it worth it! Check out those gorgeous portraits!

Between the truly beautiful (inside and out) couple, the awesome family and guests and the Rockstar team of vendors, this is not one that I’ll forget any time soon! Let’s make every wedding just like this one, mmkay?!

Jill
