Each year, thousands of people make the trip to Washington, D.C. to be surrounded by the gorgeous cherry blossom blooms during the early spring season. This engagement shoot was no exception! If you’ve never had the chance to visit during this special time, make plans to enjoy a day of strolling through beautiful grounds.

While Catherine & Jason’s smiles say it all, the magic of their engagement session was captured in each photo. From the waterfront views to the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, I had so much fun with these two. Both of Catherine’s gorgeous dresses fit the setting perfectly (be sure to scroll down and see for yourself) and it was almost as if the cherry blossom trees embraced them to provide the dreamiest of backdrops.
