This shoot puts the biggest smile on my face. These two right here have been together for going on six years and now are two of the kindest people you would ever meet. Not to mention fellow bully breed lovers like myself. So obviously we hit it off!
The one sad note to this shoot is Megan is one of the, now infamous if you live in the area, Elk Manor Brides. Which is subsequently where we shot this session. I contemplated not mentioning where we shot this but in all honesty, it was my last time stepping foot on that property with this adorable couple in what was supposed to be their wedding venue. It’s a sad reality but Megan is in good spirits after getting the images and even said “Having these pictures right now definitely softens the blow of the whole venue thing.” Which makes me feel a bit better about being able to do this for them.
At the end of the day after all the stuff that happens, the smiles on couples faces as they look at each other with giddy laughter as they talk about the big day is what makes me love my job. Of course there are difficult things that come along with working in this industry, like dealing with heart broken brides when things don’t work out the way they planned, but it’s the smiles and the realization that love really does conquer all. Even if everything goes askew, when the couple exchanges vows on their big day, you wouldn’t even know that things didn’t work out as they had originally planned. After that first kiss and walk back down the isle, all of that is a distant memory and the smiles on their faces underscore that. No matter what. I love my job. I love the people I meet along the way. I am truly beyond lucky to be able to do this for a living.
Ok, enough of my rambling. Check out their adorable session <3
