Let’s just take a minute and soak in the gorgeousness that is this couple…

And don’t get me wrong, the pair is stunning on the outside but the beauty that shines from inside these two is something you don’t come across everyday. I met Lauren through a photo shoot I did over a year ago. She signed up to do one of my “girlie” sessions and when she was all done up, she had a striking resemblance to Dita Von Teese. So when she mentioned she had recently gotten engaged, I was thrilled when she asked me if I would be there to photograph her wedding.

Lauren and Pj were made for each other. It was no more apparent then on their big day. The two kept asking how the other was doing as I jumped back and forth between rooms. Once the nerves settled and we began our venture to do the couples first look, it was so heart warming to see how excited they were to see each other. I found a cute little alley way that was lined with vines and old brick to set the scene. The look on his face when he turned around to see his bride is something I will never forget. He couldn’t keep the tears back and when he went in to hug her he buried his head in her neck (image below). It’s one of those moments I will never forget in my entire career. I love those moments.

We hoped all around Alexandria to do some killer portraits. The pair got married at the stunning St. Aloysius Church in Washington D.C. This place was massive with some of the most beautiful stained glass and paintings I have ever seen in my life. After the beautiful ceremony, everyone hoped back on the bus and went back to Alexandria to the Carlyle Club for the reception.
